concrete patios & pergolas in memphis, tn

patios and pergolas built for memphis heat & rain

Mid-South weather is tough on outdoor living areas. Long, hot summers make shade a must, heavy rain tests the drainage around every patio, and clay soil can shift beneath slabs and supports when the ground isn't properly prepared.

That's why we focus on the foundation first. We grade patios so water drains away from your home, build on a stable, compacted base, and set pergola supports with the structural integrity needed to stand up to wind, rain, and years of use.

outdoor living spaces made for relaxing & entertaining

A well-designed patio turns your backyard into a place you actually use, whether that's morning coffee, weekend cookouts, or evenings with friends. Add a pergola, and you get shade and structure that make the space more comfortable through Memphis summers. At Artistic Hardscapes, we design and build custom patios and pergolas in Memphis, TN that fit your home and the way you live.

patio & pergola design options for your backyard

Your patio's finish sets the tone for the whole space. A clean broom finish keeps things simple and practical, stamped concrete adds the look of stone or brick, and concrete staining brings in color that complements your home.

Pergolas add shade, structure, and a focal point to your outdoor area. Paired with a patio, a pergola creates a defined space for dining, lounging, or entertaining. We'll help you plan the size, layout, and style so everything feels like a natural extension of your home.

frequently asked questions about patios & pergolas in memphis

  • Can a pergola be added to an existing patio?

Often, yes. It depends on the condition of the patio and where the pergola supports need to go. We'll check whether your existing concrete can support a pergola or needs work first.

  • How much shade does a pergola provide?

A pergola provides partial shade that shifts throughout the day, depending on its design and orientation. If you want full coverage, a covered patio area may be a better fit.

  • What is the best patio surface for Memphis weather?

Concrete is a durable choice for Mid-South weather when it's built on a well-prepared base with proper drainage. Stamped or stained finishes add style without giving up durability.

  • Do you offer financing for patio and pergola projects?

Yes. We offer flexible project financing so you can start your patio or pergola project now and pay over time.
